AISD Dress Code Policy
Austin ISD’s student dress code supports equitable educational access and is written in a manner that does not reinforce stereotypes.
To ensure effective and equitable enforcement of this dress code, school staff shall enforce the dress code consistently and in a manner that does not reinforce or increase marginalization or oppression of any group on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, immigration status, or any other basis prohibited by law, that adversely affects the student.
Students shall be dressed and groomed in a manner that is clean and neat and that will not be a health or safety hazard to themselves or others.

El Código de vestir para estudiantes del Austin ISD apoya el acceso educacional equitativo y está escrito de forma tal que no re-fuerce estereotipos.
Para garantizar la ejecución eficaz y equitativa de este código de vestir, el personal escolar hará cumplir el código de vestir de manera constante y en forma tal que no refuerce ni aumente la marginación u opresión de ningún grupo con base en raza, color, religión, sexo, género, identidad de género, expresión de género, orientación sexual, origen nacional, discapacidad, edad, estado migratorio o cualquier otro motivo prohibido por la ley que afecte de forma negativa al estudiante.
Los estudiantes deben vestirse y arreglarse de un modo que sea aseado y ordenado y que no represente un peligro para la salud ni seguridad propia y de los demás.
